Hoffman Industrial Company, a leader in rigging, moving, hauling and warehouse storage headquartered at 1221 Walnut Street in Erie, now has a new owner.
Art Hammond recently purchased the company from John and Nancy Miles who owned the business since 1976. The company, formerly Hoffman Riggers, was established in 1846 and has the distinction of being the oldest company on record in Erie. Hoffman’s services include rigging, moving and storage of large machinery and equipment, hauling and other transportation services, custom steel fabrication, and project management.
