Being a small company, the HR role takes on a little bit different look. Not only are standard duties addressed, but it also has become something of a personal “help center” for our employees, making sure they have all their loose ends tied up outside of work, as well as onsite. Taking an interest in and being willing to help address needs that go beyond the standard HR expectations gives our people peace of mind that the company does care about them as individuals, not just as employees, which in turn spurs them to care more about their work, bringing a higher level of productivity and quality. We maintain a very open door policy, not only in the HR area, but also in the production, quality and safety aspects of our business, welcoming all notices of concern and ideas for improvement. Each person knows they have a personal stake in the success or failure of our company, and listening to and acting on those concerns and ideas leads to the better overall health of our company. We maintain not only a professional workplace atmosphere, but also a family atmosphere. At the end of the day, no matter what has happened, everybody knows we’re in this together. We celebrate each other’s successes and suffer each other’s heartaches. It’s our sense of “family”, along with pride in our work and commitment to our customers that sets us apart and makes us successful.
