Leadership Issues, People-Management Strategies Focus of Third Annual HR & Employment Law Conference

ERIE – Local human resource professionals will come together for a full day of thought-provoking presentations and networking opportunities during the Manufacturer & Business Association’s (MBA) third annual Human Resources & Employment Law Conference starting at 8:15 a.m. Friday, October 9, at the Association’s Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street at Pittsburgh Avenue. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

The day’s discussion will focus on leadership issues and people-management strategies including employee engagement, harassment investigation tips, employment law updates, ways to reduce exposure to workers’ compensation claims and strategies for succession planning. Additionally, highly acclaimed speakers Thomas J. Walter, serial entrepreneur and co-author of It’s My Company Too! and William J. Rothwell, Ph.D., president of Rothwell & Associates and author of Effective Succession Planning: Ensuring Leadership Continuity and Building Talent from Within, will deliver the day’s keynotes. Local attorneys Daniel Miller, Esq., and John Persinger, Esq., of MacDonald, Illig, Jones & Britton, LLP, and Peter Pentz, Esq., of the Knox Law Firm, also will present.
