Kaczmarek Promoted to Chief Lending Officer for Erie Federal Credit Union

Denise KaczmarekERIEErie Federal Credit Union recently promoted Denise Kaczmarek to chief lending officer (CLO). In her new role, Kaczmarek will be a member of the credit union’s executive team and responsible for consumer lending, mortgage lending, indirect auto lending and lending support operations.

Kaczmarek was born and raised in Erie and has been with the credit union for 26 years, serving most recently as vice president of Lending. Her strong leadership and management skills have led to a significant growth in Erie FCU’s loan portfolio. Along with her current duties, her expanded responsibilities as CLO will be new product development, the development and implementation of consistent organizational policies, underwriting standards and procedures that comply with external regulations.

“We are excited to have Denise take on the role of chief lending officer. She has been a critical part of our lending team and we believe her experience and background will be assets for us as we continue to grow and serve our members,” said CEO Brian Waugaman.

In her time with the credit union, Kaczmarek has risen through the ranks, holding positions as a MasterCard coordinator, mortgage coordinator, loan officer and branch manager. An active leader in the community, Kaczmarek has been a member of the Erie Chapter of Credit Unions since 2001 in which she has served as vice president and is currently serving as Chapter president since October 2015.

Regionally, Kaczmarek has served two consecutive terms (from 2004 – 2010) on the board of the Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation with the last term as Secretary. She is also an advisory board member of First Heritage Financial, LLC.

Since its inception in 1936, Erie Federal Credit Union has been serving its members in and around the Erie, Pennsylvania area with financial products.
