Good Ideas Donates Rain Barrels

1298

Lake City, PA – This year, Good Ideas is partnering with the city of Loyalton, California to promote the use of rain barrels to conserve water. Good Ideas is committed to supporting the state’s water conservation initiatives and has donated 100 of their Rain Wizards to the city of Loyalton in Sierra County, which were distributed on April 22 (Earth Day).

Despite increased rainfall in recent months, California is still experiencing a severe drought. Due to the severity of the water deficits over the past four years, many of California’s reservoirs and groundwater basins remain depleted, and the need for continued water conservation persists. Many cities in California have implemented rain barrel rebate programs to encourage the use of rain barrels to collect water for gardens and landscape and conserve drinking water.

“Good Ideas is the No. 1 rain barrel supplier in the United States. By helping a town in one of the most affected areas of the country, we are giving back and spreading awareness of how to survive and thrive through a harsh drought,” said Marketing Manager, Ross Smith.

Good Ideas, Inc is a U.S.-based manufacturer of gardening and hunting products including composters, rain savers, raised bed gardens, aquaponics systems, and more. The company works with Sterling Technologies, a company also located in Lake City that specializes in rotational molding, to produce its barrels. Sterling has offered a discount to Good Ideas in this effort and is therefore also contributing toward the cause.
