SNAP-TITE HOSE WELCOMES PA FIRE COMMISSIONER

UNION CITY – New Snap-tite Hose Chief Executive Officer James Novinsky welcomed PA Fire Commissioner Thomas Cook for a tour of Snap-tite’s Union City facility on Wednesday. Recognized globally for its rigorous test trials and perpetual advancement of innovation, Snap-tite is the industry leader for lay-flat hose. Snap-tite Hose appointed Novinsky as its new CEO in February. With over 55 years of providing life-saving products, Snap-tite is poised for a new era of innovation under Novinsky’s leadership.

Since taking on the CEO role, Novinsky has swiftly addressed key challenges, efficiently cleared a backlog of orders and enhanced production capabilities. The company has also ramped up production of its latest innovation, the Warrior hose. Known for its durability and heat resistance, the Warrior hose is set to become a staple in fire stations across the nation. Snap-tite, the only North American hose manufacturer with ISO9001:2015 certification, continues to uphold its commitment to excellence, delivering orders within 4-6 weeks.

Commissioner Cook was joined by local elected and civic leaders for a tour of Snap-tite. Cook has nearly four decades of experience in emergency services and public administration, serving previously has Assistant Fire Commissioner and administrator of the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy.

Novinsky led a demonstration utilizing robotic solutions designed to be equipped with heat resistant hoses like the Snap-tite’s Warrior to effectively battle Electric Vehicle fires.

Solutions that effectively battle EV fires are an urgent necessity and require new policies and creative collaborative conversations among leaders in the industry. In 2023, 3.3 million EV’s were registered in the U.S. EV fires burn three times hotter than a standard internal combustion engine vehicle and pose serious risk to property and life.
