Robert Pursell is the director of Human Resources at Jersey Shore Steel Company, headquartered in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, and was recently appointed as the newest member of the Manufacturer & Business Association (MBA) Board of Governors. He previously served as chairman of the Manufacturers’ Association of Central Pennsylvania (MACP), which recently consolidated its Williamsport-based operations — and 11-county membership region — with the MBA. Pursell spoke with the Business Magazine about his appointment and the economic challenges facing business and industry in his region.
