How did your company get its start?
Bates Collision has been serving the community for over thirty years for all of its collision needs. Over the years, the business has grown but the basic philosophy of taking care of the customer has not changed. Our staff is committed to repairing a vehicle back to its pre-accident condition and returning it to the owner in a timely manner. The shop works hand and hand with the insurance company to expedite the repair process and provide our customers with 100% customer satisfaction. One of the secrets of our success is that we treat our customers like family and their family like friends. Over the years, we have met the nicest people by accident. Their problem becomes our problem and we do everything within our power to get them back into their vehicle so they can get on with their busy lives. Our dedicated staff will stay late or come in early to help a customer. Another secret is that we repair the vehicle as if it is our own vehicle. Our technicians envision their family riding in the vehicle that they are repairing, so every job is done right the first time.
What do you credit for the longevity of your operation?
Our work-force health is very important to our overall business strategy. Our business’ health depends upon the health of our employees. All our employees go through health and safety training annually and our policies on wearing hearing protection, safety glasses, respirators, and gloves are enforced daily. We want to make sure they are not hurt at work or causing any long term health problems. Our painters are trained on using fresh air breathing equipment yearly and receive complete annual physical exams. Smoking is not allowed in the building which is one more way we deliver work force health. Outside of work, our employees like to relieve stress by engaging in organized sport activities.
