ERIE — The Economic Research Institute of Erie (ERIE) at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, unveiled its most recent Erie Leading Index (ELI), during the Manufacturer & Business Association’s Economic Outlook IMPACT Luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 12.
According to economists, the third quarter 2019 report finds ELI back in positive territory after a slight decline last quarter. However, the report also finds weak job growth as the “ghost of Christmas past continues to haunt the Erie economy.”
