ERIE — The Economic Research Institute of Erie (ERIE) at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, unveiled its most recent Erie Leading Index (ELI), during the Manufacturer & Business Association’s Economic Outlook IMPACT Luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 12.
According to economists, the third quarter 2019 report finds ELI back in positive territory after a slight decline last quarter. However, the report also finds weak job growth as the “ghost of Christmas past continues to haunt the Erie economy.”
Trends and implications for different sectors of the local economy are detailed as well. To view the full report and its findings, visit https://eriedata.bd.psu.edu/sites/default/files/2019-12/ELI%20%2332%20-%202019.Q3%20-%20FINAL.pdf
