A stock market simulation and mock business classes highlighted the activities that more than 200 Erie, Crawford and Allegheny county high school students participated in recently at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College.
The October 24 activities were part of the college’s first Business Day, an event co-sponsored by the Sam and Irene Black School of Business and Future Business Leaders of America. The program exposes high school students to business fundamentals while also educating them on good habits that can lead to real-world success.
The stock market simulation allowed students to experience how the market operates and how stocks are traded. It also helped illustrate just how important it is to make smart financial decisions.
