Erie Leading Index (ELI) Report

933

The Economic Institute of Erie (ERIE) recently  unveiled its latest Erie Leading Index (ELI) report. According to ELI, seven of eight key economic indicators suggest the next few months could be good for Erie’s economy, according to Jim Kurre, director of the Economic Research Institute of Erie and an associate professor of economics at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. One concern could slow things, however: Business owners are still worried about the costs of Obamacare. “And any time businesses are uncertain,” Kurre says, “they’re less likely to hire.”
