What is your organization’s approach to being a good corporate citizen?
Accudyn Products Inc. believes that we are all only as good as our community. As such, we have been proud supporters of Roar on the Shore, the Three Mile Isle Obstacle Course on Presque Isle as well as the Greatest Night Ever and the Perry 200 Parade. These are fun events that show off much of the best that Erie has to offer, while giving our employees an opportunity to participate in community events.
In addition, we feel a deep commitment to the Erie community and its continued improvement. We’re involved in everything from the capital campaign at the Erie city Mission, to matching employee donations on “Erie Gives” day at the Erie Community Foundation.
Accudyn is a woman owned business, and as such, is deeply concerned about the special problems facing women, especially when they have faced a crisis and are trying to get back on their feet. Accudyn has been a proud supporter of Erie Dawn for several years, and continues to grow in its commitment to Erie women. Erie Dawn provides women with housing and mentoring, and over a 2 year period helps them to get their lives back on track.
How do you encourage your employees to give back?
Accudyn’s employees are our best asset. From volunteering at the Erie City Mission to carrying a balloon in the Perry 200 Parade as well as participating in the March of Dimes walk in support of a fellow employee with an ill baby – Accudyn’s employees participate wherever they are able. Christmas is for giving and Accudyn is no exception. Every Christmas our employees donate many needed items to local charities.
