14th Annual ERIE Conference to Address Future of Manufacturing

1124

ERIE – What is the future of manufacturing and the implications of that future for Erie? Will manufacturing remain a vital part of the national and local economies? How are technology and automation influencing this sector, and how will we meet the workforce requirements of tomorrow?

These issues and more will be addressed at the Economic Research Institute of Erie’s (ERIE) 14th annual ERIE Conference from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, at the Burke Center at Penn State Behrend. Community leaders and interested citizens are invited to attend.

The event will give participants the chance to hear from local leaders, from industry representatives who have played an integral role in transforming manufacturing, and from an expert on trends in advanced manufacturing. Together, they’ll explore the challenges and opportunities of adapting to this evolving sector of the economy.
