Several companies from around the region recently helped to support the Erie 9-11 Memorial Committee’s efforts to erect a memorial — an 18-foot steel artifact from the Twin Towers — to honor those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
The first leg of the memorial — an installation that is located outside the front of the Blasco Memorial Library — became a reality thanks to those businesses, including several MBA members: B.S.I. / Building Systems Inc., Warren Steel, Porter Consulting Engineers, Birkmire Trucking and Big Box Storage, Geiger Monuments, Burton Funeral Home, Duchini Inc., Howard Industries, American Tinning and Galvanizing, Champion Bolt, Church Murdock Electric, Hoffman Industrial Co., and Custom Engineering.
