ERIE – Associated Clinical Laboratories (ACL) recently held an open house to unveil renovations at its Main Office at 1526 Peach Street. The event was part of the ACL’s inaugural Fall Fest on October 25. The event, which was held for employees, along with their family and friends, was the culmination of more than one and a half years of building renovation and improvement.
The project, which started in the spring of 2014, consisted of improvements to multiple areas of the laboratory complex. These changes included new HVAC, upgraded electrical service, a new roof, new ceiling tiles, new flooring, fresh paint and an update in technology for the training room.
The Fall Fest event consisted of crafts, games, food, prizes, balloon animals and a magician. In addition, laboratory tours were given to showcase ACL’s new look and give employees a chance to share their “home away from home” with family members and friends. Employees were able to introduce family members to their colleagues as well as meet the members of our management team. This family oriented event was the vision of ACL’s managing director, Jymme McQuillan, and included a special guest, North Region Vice President Denis Gallagher. ACL also opened their doors to JV partners along with local clients and Erie business leaders on October 28 for additional tours.
ACL is a regional reference laboratory serving northwest Pennsylvania, Chautauqua County, New York and Ashtabula County, Ohio. Formed in 1986, the laboratory is a regional asset and resource for physicians and patients living and working in the service area.
As a locally based laboratory, the medical directors, technical staff, support staff and administrative staff are readily available to both physicians and patients should questions arise regarding ACL’s services. ACL’s ownership is divided between Quest Diagnostics, Pathology Associates of Erie and Tri-State Regional Associates.
