Penn State Behrend to Host International Advanced Manufacturing Conferences on June 10-14

ERIE — Penn State Behrend’s School of Engineering will host the co-located ASME International Manufacturing Science and Engineering Conference(MSEC 2019) and the 47th NAMRI/SME North American Manufacturing Research Conference (NAMRC 47) on June 10-14 at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, Pennsylvania.

As the foremost international forum for applied research and industrial applications in manufacturing and design, the event combines the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) International Manufacturing Science and Engineering Conference and the North American Manufacturing Research Conference, sponsored by the North American Manufacturing Research Institution of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (NAMRI/SME).

The two conferences have been co-located since 2011. Together, these conferences represent the largest advanced manufacturing research event in the world, attracting more than 800 researchers and manufacturers from around the globe to share the latest manufacturing innovations and developments in manufacturing systems and processes, cyber-physical systems and materials processing.

Attendees participate in more than 400 technical presentations, multiple panel discussions, poster sessions, lab and industry tours, workshops, an early career forum and a career fair.
