Ace Wire Spring & Form Co., Inc. Marks 80th Year in Business

PittsburghAce Wire Spring & Form Co., Inc., an industry leader in the manufacturing of compression springs, extension springs, torsion springs and wire forms, is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2019.

According to the company, Ace Wire Spring & Form started out in the industry in 1939 with a small coiling machine making garter springs by hand. The owner, Joseph Vodvarka, was a machinist, working hands-on in the upstairs room of his house, which was converted into a small office / shop to produce the garter springs needed at the time.

In 1976, Joseph Vodvarka’s daughter, Linda, and her husband, Rich Froehlich, bought the company and continue to keep Ace Wire Spring & Form a family owned and operated business. The company is located at 1105 Thompson Avenue in McKees Rocks.
